Salutations, and thanks for stopping by! We are THE GUARDIANS OF GALLIFREY, a *23 YEAR-OLD* Fan Club in The Orlando/Central Florida area devoted to the long-lived BBC SF/Fantasy Series, DOCTOR WHO. We have monthly meetings at a member's homes, libraries, malls, etc., usually around the 3rd or 4th weekend. We also have our newsletter, 'The Gallifrey Guardian', and our newsgroup on Google (Thanks, Tom!). Just pass along your suggestions to Julia, either in person, phone (407-321-5953) or email(drwhoville@yahoo.com), then she incorporates them into the REVISION pdf; Then print up the REVISION close to July's Meeting, where we hope to vote it in soon to replace the CURRENT GOG CONSTITUTION as it now stands (oh yes, we got that printable pdf for your convience as well). BBC AMERICA will get *DAVID TENNANT* to go over there with Julie Gardner and RTD for a Sunday DOCTOR WHO panel at the Channel's Booth!! Of course BBCA is also pushing TORCHWOOD:CHILDREN OF EARTH and BEING HUMAN as well as the approaching unveiling of BBC AMERICA HD (Whose debut from July 20ieth on touts a SF Week featuring all the shows I just mentioned! [6/19] - According to THE SUN, the participation of both John Simm AND Timothy Dalton appear to be confirmed, at least regarding the last 2-parter of David's run on the show...
- FORUM FYI - You'll note the addition of GALLIFREY BASE to our LINKS list (One of 2, along with 10TH PLANET EVENTS, those who sponsor quite a few Celebrity Appearances at Cons. Hollah): Many of the people behind the Soon-to-go DOCTOR WHO FORUM populate GB, along with a huge number of joining members (guilty, yes).
At the very least, a fine addition to several forums out there. While your Webmaster can't hope to keep up with all of them, I hope that GALLIFREY BASE, Hurricane Who's EYE OF THE FORUM, and our very own NEWSGROUP can get you started into that vast world of interaction...

On the heels of PLANET OF THE DEAD, the next Special's Title is announced: THE WATERS OF MARS. Nothing's been specified timewise yet, but at one point RTD has said "Novemberish". Make of that what you will...

[5/31] - PLANET OF THE DEAD airs Saturday July 25th, rest of the specials accordingly after. Said to air Series 5, as well as rebroadcasts of all the S1-4 items in 2010...

[6/19] - Okay. In light of the latest, if they're gonna do something with DW from NEXT DOCTOR onwards, it's gonna be awhile...
As for Series 1-4, Occasional repeats and Marathons, for example a July 27 Marathon of Series 3!
As always, when we get in range, you should be able to refine that and changes to come with their schedulebot screen that you'll find HERE.
Gonna make this obscenely easy for both of us this point onward:
Above all else, click THE MAIN SITE. It's up there, it's down there, you can't miss it. Then follow the astoundingly simple links there to check their schedules. On your own. And do it often. BBCA is getting more and more whimsical with abruptly juggling their line-ups beyond the Big Things they make the 'COMING SOON' commercials for.
Now with that caveat out of the way, I venture to summarise a little bit based on what I saw when I was last there (don't come after me if it's different by the time you get there & read it):
-There's appears to be a little Marathon of Captain-Harkness-Themed DW eps from S1 & S3 (EMPTY CHILD/DOCTOR DANCES & UTOPIA/SOUND OF DRUMS/LAST OF THE TIMELORDS) on July 19 (The Day of Our July Mttg, yes)
-And of course PLANET OF THE DEAD due on Sun, July 26 (On Both BBCA and BBCA HD)

[6/28] - R1: THE NEXT DOCTOR. Regular DVD Only. Due September 28th (Evidently left out of the July 28th Big Release Ballyhoo due to it being the odd-man-out Non-HD item, given the very apparent Blu-Ray/BBCA HD cross-promotional nature of the other stuff. Speculation ends...)
[6/1] - R1: PLANET OF THE DEAD: Blu-Ray; On July 28, 2 Days after you see it on BBCA HD. Cue The TVShowsOnDVD release [Plain DVD too]
[5/26] - Gettin' Busy on R2: THE WARGAMES, DELTA AND THE BANNERMEN,and THE BLACK GUARDIAN TRILOGY are coming to UK shelves!
[5/15] - BATTLEFIELD, THE E-SPACE TRILOGY, and The Second Release Version of THE KEY TO TIME SET(will all-new extras!) are on R1 (US) shelves/order-sites currently...

[7/8] - Again, check Main Site at ALL times. Don't be complacent. And if you are setting record-times, PAD YOUR 'END RECORD' TIME UP THE WAZOO! An extra 10, 20, even more.

Various repeat ops follow, i.e. Sunday afternoon. REPEATS MOST LIKELY MORE HEAVILY EDITED;
And keep an eye out for this stuff to show up on 'BBCA ON DEMAND' should your Cable Provider have that (there will be less, maybe even no commercials/editing if you find'em there!)...

[6/1] - R1: MORE *JULY 28TH* BLU-RAY GOODNESS!! -
And if you STILL want more: TORCHWOOD: THE CHILDREN OF EARTH Disc Set, will be available on both DVD and *BLU-RAY* formats only a day or two after those BBCA/BBCA HD airings!
Also that day: TORCHWOOD SEASON/SERIES 2 on Blu too. That EVERYTHING of TORCHWOOD out on BLU. Peel me off the ceiling...
BEYOND THE HUB,or ARTHUR'S NOTES:
[6/19] - HURRICANE WHO. July 11th. Only one day after TORCHWOOD:CHILDREN OF EARTH completes on BBC ONE. Roughly a week and 2 days before BBCA shows it. The Whole thing. Probably no commercials. At Cricketer's Arms.
Seriously. Bring a small cushion. Hard wood chairs. Just sayin' ;-)
[3/6] - To flashback briefly, I was delighted, as were the rest of the GALLIFREY ONE: 20 YEARS TO LIFE crowd, to not only hang with Gareth David-Lloyd(Ianto) and Kai Owen(Rhys)at the Friday Torchwood Panel, but get majorly suprised when NAOKO MORI(Tosh!)dropped by ;-P...
- And while yours truly had to miss out on Gareth's latter appearance at HW's INSIDE THE HUB, I more than made up for it at MegaCon when he was at HW's table..
