12/10/2002: Heh, the season's long over, but I still kept up with the Varsity team, 'cause they did hecka well! =-O Well, if you ever want to know stuff about CCS XC, just check the Lynbrook website. For some reason they have pretty much everything there. Well here is pretty much every meet from this year:
Alumni Meet (@ Gunn)
Central Meet (I didn't run)
SCVAL Invite (Crystal Springs)
City Meet (@ Gunn) I was the 5th JV boy to finish!!! I actually counted for our score!!! :-D then again... we lost... :-(
SCVAL Finals (can't find results :-()
CCS Finals (Gunn swept! :-))
State Meet
Western Regionals
10/29/2002: 14:31!!! 14:31!!! 14:31!!! =-O You have NOOOOOO idea how crazy and unreal it still seems to me! Ok, here's how it somehow worked... 1) I ran just 3 days in the last 3 weeks before this meet! 2) I PRed by 19 seconds, which is also 109 seconds faster than the Alumni Meet earlier this year!! 3) By some miracle I beat Michael Wu and Charles Kang, who I never thought I'd be able to beat!!! HOW CRAZY IS THAT!?! :-D :-D Hehe, me happy! ... but very tired... -_-zzZZZzzzZZZZ
10/22/2002: Woohoo!!! :-D Wow, one day after being kinda pessimistic, I am hecka hyped for XC!!! :-D Yeah, today was awesome! We did mile intervals at Bol. Remember that I ran this Saturday and the last time I ran before that was the Crystal Springs Meet (10/8) two weeks ago. So... I wasn't expecting much and I was kinda pissed when I heard that today was going to be a hard day. But then I stuck it out and I ran really well! Heh, I actually kinda freaked myself out! :-P Yes, I ran 7:08, 7:18, 6:59!!! Sure, those aren't very fast times for the mile, but considering how out of shape I probably am, the fact that I actually improved is pretty weird... :-) Last time we ran these intervals this year, I ran a 7:25, 7:48, or something like that. Yeah, I wimped out on the last one. And last year we ran these intervals, I ran 6:45, 6:57, which is about the same as this time, but I ran three this time! Yay! :-D Ok, maybe I'm a little too happy here. Especially since Ernie said that most inexperienced runners tend to run a lot faster on the intervals than the race because they can stick it out for a mile, but they don't really know how to run a race correctly yet. >_< Ergh... sounds like me. :-(
10/21/2002: *sigh* Looks like I'm going to start running again tomorrow. That's almost two weeks off exactly. Don't get me wrong, I'm totally excited to start running again 'cause it's so much fun, but... I kinda wish this year had been a little better... :-/ Like, I ran surprisingly well last year. I was really happy with my times. So i was kinda hyped up for this year. Anyway, I'll put the whole story up later, but basically no summer running + no badminton training = out of shape BIG TIME!!! Yeah... my Bol time was sooooo slow! Ergh... and then I finally get some hope when we ran Crystal. On a super hot day, I run just a tad slower than a minute behind my PR. That was GOOD! And then... I take 2 weeks off to do college crapps... :-( :'( O well. The season's almost over now, so i'd might as well try hard till the end! :-)
My Cross-Country Times:
Bol Park:
14:31 (City Meet = NEW PR!)
16:17 (Alumni Meet)
14:50 (last year's PR)
Central Park:
I've never run it! :-P
Crystal Springs:
23:03 (this year)
21:57 (my PR)
Results from this year (10/8).
Yup, looks like I'm slower this year, o well. I should've run during the summer and I didn't. :-(
