BON VOYAGE EP

The Sims 2: Bon Voyage saw a lot of controversy because it is the first EP in which EA implemented the piracy protection known as 'SecuROM' which can be potentially damaging. Perviously they have been using Safedisc. While many people have used it without problems, it should be known that there are risks; the SecuROM debate is long and heated, but unfortunately it does not seem as though EA will cease using the protection program on their game. Fans of the Sims 1: On Holiday will notice a lot of similarities here, and in my personal opinion, this game is a big improvement from the Holiday pack from the original sims games. With this pack, your sims can take a vacation to one of three destinations which are very similar to sub-neighborhoods. Each destination has a different theme; tropical, eastern, and mountain. Players can also create their own holiday destination sub-hoods, but these must be based on one of the three themes, or a mixture of them. While on holiday, sims can stay at a hotel, or buy their very own vacation home. Before leaving home, you will be asked to decide how many days you want the holiday to go on for (up to a week); unfortunately, this time restriction is also the same for holiday homes. While
at a hotel, your sim(s) select the room(s) that they wish to use for the
duration of the vacation, and the daily charge for these rooms is based on
the size and quality of appliances available in the hotel room. You can
see the price of each room by clicking on the hotel room door. |
