A much better sleep last night thanks to the slightly warmer temperatures overnite. Spent the morning taking a stroll down Leopoldstraße - a street w/ chique shops & cafes & fancy buildings & monuments. SO hot out!!! It was 35 degrees today :( And Isa said that just last week it was only 8 degrees - it only got this warm the day we got here. Went back to the English Gardens & walked to the man-made rapids, Eisbach, where people surf on the artificial waves & we sat in the park for a while. Early afternoon we went back to the campsite, packed up & checked out & took the metro to meet Isa at her work. She drove us back to Nürnberg where she lives, which took a bit longer than expected thanks to busy traffic on the autobahn. Met Isabelle´s mum & dad who are both so friendly & welcoming! They kindlz fed us dinner & then Geo, Isa, Sascha & I went to a pub in downtown Nürnberg for their friend´s birthday. The pub was small & we were the only group there, so we filled the place up. Most of their friends can speak English (they learn it in high-school) but they were too embarrassed to try b/c they are out of practice. But after a few drinks most of them loosened up & started speaking in English. So we got to really chat w/ them which was nice. Finally made our way home at 3 - 3:30 am.
