Sunday, June 6th 2004, - Delphi, Greece

Today's activity was a daytrip to Delphi, a small town outside of Athens. This post won't be too long b/c it actually took most of the day getting there & back for only 2 and a half hours spent in the town.
The big attraction in Delphi is their sites of ruins. One site housed the ruins of the Temple of Apollo, another site had the Temple of Athena something. And again, it was a very hot day to be hiking up & down hills in ruin sites w/ no shade! How do the Greek live here in July & August????
Oh - and can I just say how tired I am of paying 50 Euro cents each time I need to pee? And how much I hate paying 50 cents to pee squatting in a hole in the ground? And once I even had to pay that for a portapotty!!! And how do the big, old Greek ladies manage to squat over those holes w/o falling over?
Saw all the Delphi sights we'd planned on, so hopped on the 3 hour bus to come home. Came to do some internet to book all our hostels for the rest of the trip since things seem to be getting busier as we hit high-season :S
