Sorry for the hiatus. It's a combination of being very busy and just not feeling like updating. In a nutshell here's what I've been up to: Verde finished the album (unless we end up doing more songs, which is possible since it is only 30 minutes long). I feel really good about it. Only a matter of time before I can stop working shitty jobs, I hope.
Speaking of shitty jobs, I've been going around and giving my info to temp agencies. You have to take these little intelligence and computer tests, and shockingly I have done very well on them. My first job starts on Monday. I am going to be an office bitch at St. Thomas Hospital for a week. It pays ok, but it is at 8 AM every morning. I haven't had to do that since my first semester at Helmont. After that, there is a potential long-term, better paying job at some kind of insurance company.
Otherwise it has just been lots and lots of music. I played a show tonight with Sam Ashworth. Actually, it was just My Tyger except for me on bass. I had to learn 14 songs in 9 days, so with that in mind, it went about as well as could be expected, although I feel like I could have been a little better. I got nothing but compliments though. Verde has been very busy too, with 7 shows in the next 29 days. The next one is tonight (Friday) at Slow Bar, so come.
I'll update the diaries section this weekend, so if you have one, beware. I also have a 2002 Year In Review written, but I'm debating whether or not to post it. I'm going to update the MP3 right now. Enjoy this motivation while it lasts (probably not long).
