Let me introduce myself to you. I will give you background on both who I am in everyday life and who I am in my magical life.
I am founder and owner of Wellness Workshops Health Centers in Phoenix Arizona. I have devoted the past 15 years to building a unique health organization dedicated to the promotion of responsible integrative health alternatives.
I hosted the Wellness Workshop; a health education radio talk show, which originated 14 years ago with its original host, who also happened to have been my mother. Wellness Workshop has set the standard in educational alternative health talk radio throughout the past 14 years and had continued to be an example of integrity in educational entertainment until I decided to go off the air in July 2002.
I am the Executive Director of the Wellness Workshops Health Centers in Phoenix, AZ where the focus is on education and integrative nutritional counseling. I have also just formed The Herbal Goddess which will be my primary focus. The Herbal Goddess is dedicated to teaching the ancient lore and uses of herbs. Education ranges from a basic knowledge to that of an extensive course geared for certifcation.
I have not only had the privilege of being raised by a doctor in the Natural Health Industry, and been mentored and educated thoroughly from an early age, but have also earned a Master Herbalist Degree from two of the oldest herbal schools, one in the United States and the other in England. I also obtained my Certified Iridologist and have been trained personally by Bernard Jensen. I am a nationally recognized Natural Health Counselor with a doctorate in naturopathic medicine. Currently I am working on my Ph.D. in Clinical Nutrition. I have chosen to carry on my mother's mission in the belief that responsible education is the beginning of freedom for individuals to take charge of their own health. Recently, I formulated the entire Healthfully Yours line, which is sold nationwide. Between my many accomplishments I am also a columnist who has written numerous articles for local newspapers and pride myself with staying current with proven integrative research in natural medicine.
I am adamant about providing accurate, scientifically based information coupled with personal experiences from private practice. My life experience in assisting my mother in her battle of a life threatening illness empowers me, I think with the first-hand knowledge in managing health issues physically, psychologically, and emotionally. My philosophy for life is, Patience, Persistence and Prayer.
My magical life is almost as diverse as my everyday one. I was raised in a strong Strega household. The funny thing is it was never called Strega nor magic. It was just the way we do things. For those of you that are asking, "What in world is Strega?". Strega is the Italian form of Witchcraft. I refer to it as the Old School One both sides of my family my at least one grandparent was born in Italy. Italian is still spoken in the family very much so. Regretfully, I can understand more than I can sepak it. I learned to speak French instead.
Magically speaking, if ever asked a question as to the whys. Most of the time I cannot respond with something from a book, it is all heartfelt and that was how I was taught. So all coursework is taught from that perspective with of course "book knowledge" coming into play for those of you that seek it. Everything is taught from a hands on approach and from first hand knowledge.
At the age of eight, Isis called to me. From that point on I have walked a pretty strong Egyptian path. Of course, mingled with my Strega heritage. It seems that I have walked this path my entire existence. I have explored many outlets and have come to adopt my own from of Egyptian Pathwork. I believe in the ancient ways but have incorporated a lot of today's pathwork into my teaching, More for the comfort of my students seeking to learn and more to make it more Western based and easier to understand.
I have been a legally ordained "minister" since 1992. But only recently have I become an ordained Priestess Hierophant within the organizatin of the Fellowship of Isis and within the Tmeple of Isis, based in California. All of which makes me legally able to confer Priest/esshood training to all those that study within the Temple og Isis, Star of Sirius.
