Ethan decides to buy an engagement ring for Gwen. However, the jewelery store woman (guest star Linda Carlson) is not convinced that Ethan is ready to propose, and tries not to sell him the ring. Theresa's first day at Crane Industries starts off in fireworks as Ethan arrives to clean out his belongings. Chad angrily pressures Whitney and forces her to choose between him and her family–for good. Whitney breaks down from the stress. Luis, Liz, and Beth find the phone number of the Inn that Antonio and Sheridan are, only to learn that Antonio and Sheridan are getting married. The trio rush to the Inn to stop them, just as the priest (guest star James R. Sweeney) pronounces a couple man and wife! Other guest stars also include Marre Cheatham.

Theresa finds an engagement ring in Ethan's pocket, and is convinced that Ethan is going to propose to her. Whitney rushes into Theresa's arms for comfort. Ivy continues to blackmail David. Ivy is shocked when David tells her the truth. Whitney feels that she lives solely for making other people happy. Chad and Ethan discuss Whitney. Ethan insists that it is a bad idea to let Whitney go with such ease. Chad feels that Whitney is being unfair and refuses to forgive her. At the same time, Whitney feels that Chad is being unfair. An elevator repairman Roy (guest star John C. McDonnell) is concerned with an elevator. Antonio is happy to learn that Liz is in town. Luis tries his best (without killing Antonio) to stop the wedding. Whitney enters the faulty elevator, only she's not alone in there! Guest stars include Marre Cheatham and James R. Sweeney.

Sam attacks David after assuming that David told the truth on the annulment surveys. Sam is apologetic after learning that he assumed incorrectly. Eve calls Grace on her feelings for David. Liz worries about Antonio's health, while Beth and Sheridan hope that Antonio does not die. Luis is determined to reveal the truth at all costs. Luis's inner emotions cause him great stress, when he realizes he may have to choose between his brother's life, and Sheridan's love. Ethan's advice to Chad causes Theresa to have false hope. Whitney realizes that she is trapped in an elevator with Julian. Julian realizes that the elevator phone has been disconnected. He calls Theresa's office using his cell phone, but to no avail. A later attempt yields a successful call for help. Theresa is frantic when she hears Whitney's voice. Guest stars include Marre Cheatham, James R. Sweeney and John C. McDonnell.

Sam is furious when Grace pressures David to tell the truth about his feelings for her. When David professes his love, Father Lonigan (guest star Bruce French) cancels the annulment. Sam blames Grace. Luis tries his best to stop the wedding, and almost lets the cat out of the bag. Sheridan, Liz, and Beth worried about Antonio's condition. Chad, Ethan, and Theresa panic as they ask Roy (guest star John C. McDonnell) for help. Julian tries to assure Whitney that things will be alright, as the two discuss their regrets. Tabitha is upset when Cracked Connie (special guest star Kacie Borrowman) refuses to clean up after the dancing baby catastrophe. Cracked Connie insists on watching NBC's new line-up. Tabitha is amazed when Cracked Connie taps into a "great show" which shows Ethan, Chad, and Theresa. Other guest stars include James R. Sweeney.

Eve and Ivy argue. Sam insists that Grace reveal her true feelings. Grace finally reveals the truth. Ethan attempts to save Whitney, when all hell breaks loose, and Ethan is electrocuted. Ethan falls onto the top of the elevator. Julian tells Whitney about his one true love, and Whitney is sympathetic. Sam Bennett learns of Whitney and Julian's predicament. Several Harmony residents team up to try and save Whitney and Ethan. However, they are unaware that Julian Crane is also inside the elevator. Antonio and Sheridan's wedding is stopped when Liz is rushed to the hospital, where she is diagnosed with appendicitis. Liz secretly admits that the physical occurance was faked. Tabitha gives Cracked Connie (special guest star Kacie Borrowman) the 411 on Sheridan and Luis's past lives. Other guest stars include Pam Hayashida, Namrata Gujral-Cooper, Dominic Kurtyan, Ray Wochner, Drew Butler and Jake Mailey.
