FrameScript Editing with SciTE

Most FrameScript / ElmScript users use TextPad for editing as a syntax highlighting control file is readily available (here).
However, I prefer the SciTE editor for programming. The most important reason is its capability of folding of procedures, which is very useful for long scripts. Unfortunately, SciTE does not support FrameScript out of the box. I abused its Python lexer and built an fsl.properties file which allows to use SciTE with FrameScript quite comfortably. This solution is not ideal but anyhow very useful. Enjoy!

Maybe someone volunteers to write a FrameScipt lexer to round up this solution.
 Die meisten FrameScript / ElmScript Anwender verwenden TextPad als Editor, da es für diesen Editor eine FrameScript Systax-Konfigurationsdatei gibt (siehe hier).
Ich ziehe den SciTE Editor für das Programmieren vor. Hauptgrund ist seine Fähigkeit, Codestrukturen einklappen zu können - sehr hilfreich bei langen Scripts.
Leider unterstützt SciTE FrameScript nicht von Haus aus. Ich habe mit Hilfe einer selbst erstellten fsl.properties Datei SciTEs Python Lexer missbraucht um FrameScript zu editieren. Die Lösung hat Verbesserungspotential, ist aber schon jetzt gut brauchbar. Viel Spaß!

  1. Buy a Franklin eBookMan (PDA).
  2. Install the Franklin software on the computer (if you use different computers for surfing and syncing you PDA, install it twice and set the sync directory to a commonly visible directory).
  3. On the computer used for syncing, write a little batch routine (presented here soon) and install Perl and a little script (presented here soon). The script forces the Franklin software into the foreground.
  4. Put the batch routine and a link to the Franklin software into the autostart folder.
  5. Set-up the computer to boot up automatically just before you leave the house.
  6. Getting content process: Any time you go online, hit the Update button of the Mobireader Webcomp application.
  7. "Blind" (monitor off) syncing process: Connect PDA. Count to ten. Hit Ctrl-S, wait for beep, hit Return, disconnect PDA.

  5. Den "Sync"-Computer so einrichten, dass er kurz vor dem Verlassen des Hauses bootet.
  6. Content-Beschaffung: Jedes Mal, wenn man online geht, den Update-Knopf des Mobireader Webcomp Programms klicken.
  7. "Blinder" Sync-Vorgang (ohne Monitor einzuschalten): PDA anschließen und bis zehn zählen. Strg-S drücken und auf Piepton warten. Return drücken und PDA trennen.
