CS190W is the name of a web
design course I took at Purdue University. For many people, it was
just a throwaway tech elective for engineers, devoid of even
a scintilla of intellectual stimulus. For me, it was the start of a
very rewarding academic turn of events. As you can see, I've come a
ways from the low-fi tasks they ask you to do at the start of the
course.
Below, I've posted six of the eight projects I did in the course.
Most people opted for consistent designs for each project, but I
challenged myself to rework every assignment so that it had its own
unique color scheme and functional feel to it.
I ended up choosing "Tap Your Brain" as the most desirable template
for my base site design. So many individual components just clicked
together perfectly as I was setting up the site; that was when I
knew I had a better-than-average theme.
