In 1942, shortly after Pearl Harbor, I enlisted in the Naval Aviation program. In the next
47 years I became a Navy
Pilot, a carrier pilot in the Pacific during World War II, a Test Pilot, an Aerospace engineer and
Executive, Manager of a Space Station Study program and co-inventor and Program
Manager of the world's most advanced Commercial Hydrofoil.
I have traveled extensively
all over the world, and lived in Indonesia and Singapore. There isn't any place that I would like to go to that I haven't been
to - except into space.
I have been a very fortunate person. I've met many
famous people along the way and will introduce you to some of them.
Why this
site?
I hope that my experiences may interest some young
person, who
happens to find this site, in
Aerospace as a career. The greatest things in this field haven't happened
yet.
THE PEOPLE THAT WILL MAKE THEM HAPPEN ARE YET TO COME INTO IT!
