First, let me just say thanks to all the authors who take the time to write great fanfiction. It gives me something to do when I should be doing something else! I'm nothing if not a master procrastinator.

Now, on to the boring part.

I am, as you may have worked out, Sonsy. This is my place. Do you like it? I've redecorated three times now, and I think I'm finally happy with things. The picture in the header, if you're interested, is of the Reading Room at the British Museum. I did not take the photo.

I made this recs list (well, it's a bit more than a list now) to share my favourite Harry Potter fanfiction, obviously. And I have loads of free time, so why not put it to good use and spiff the place up a bit? It sort of grew from there, really. I decided to get a bit arrogant and post my own fiction here as well.

I was born in Staffordshire, England, and before I was a year old my family moved to London. So, really, I'm a Londoner. As far as I am concerned, there is no better place in the world. If you've never been, you really should go. Just be sure to get a copy of the A-Z, or you'll be in over your head. I still use mine, and I buy a new copy every year!

As far as fandom goes, I started out writing Haldir/Legolas slash, and it's gone downhill from there. I avoided everything Harry Potter until early 2006, and now I can't tear myself away! I saw the first film a couple of years ago, but didn't read The Philosopher's Stone until last year, as I said. I didn't want to get mixed up in all the HP Hype. I wish I would have gotten into it sooner, since the last book's out, and I missed out on a lot of fun (and funny) fandom stuff.

My favourite HP pairings are Harry & Draco and Albus Severus & Scorpius. I'll read anything except MPreg, which squicks the shit out of me. I don't understand why people like the idea of a man having a baby, but to each his (or her!) own.

My favourite characters are Draco Malfoy and Severus Snape. I'm not a big fan of Harry himself, because from a fangirl's perspective, he is the quintessential Gary Stu. I know he's the hero and we're all supposed to like him, but I think that's why I don't. Give me the nasty, surly villian any day!

So, that's it then. Thanks for stopping by! I update this site quite often, so keep checking back for updates. They'll all be listed on the Main Page.

Cheers!
