CONGRATULATIONS TO THE 26 UNIVERSITY OF DELAWARE SKATERS ON OUR NATIONAL SILVER MEDAL!!!

Tiffany Scott and Philip Dulebohn 2003 US Nationals Pairs Champions and skaters at the University of Delaware

On March 29-30 nine teams from across the United States competed for the 2003 National Collegiate Figure Skating Championship title. Each of the teams qualified by exhibiting high performance levels at competitions this season.

Commentary:

Early Thursday morning, 26 skaters and one coach (plus one adopted coach, Lauren) left on various flights to go from Philadelphia or Baltimore to Denver, Colorado. We arrived, skated that night, skated the next morning and evening, then competed for the next two days. Sound like all we did was skate? Ah yes, the UDCFSC is the team with a skating problem, but we did manage to live it up in Denver for those four days as well. We had a blast going to Chipole's, Jamba Juice, Noodles and Co., the mall, and all of the other places everyone visited.

One of my favorite memories from the trip defanately was watching Worlds with 25 other skaters in one four-star hotel room. It was so much fun to watch Michelle skate like it's her job, see Shae and Victor WIN like it's their job, and hear some interesting comments from Dick Button with all of my McSkaters. Not to mention Tiff and Phil's amazing long program. Wow!

Anyhow, enough from me, I'll give the following space to the UDCFSC. Calling all McSkaters: write what your favorite part/ most funny part/ whatever of the Denver trip that you remember. C'mon, it'll be fun... and yes, you can write a check :-)

To the UDCFSC: I had an amazing time with you all in Denver. UD McSkaters rock my world! Can't wait for the show... and then it's up and up time to get ready for the 2003-2004 season... and you know we're going to make our graduating seniors proud next season as we take on the East Coast and the USA to regain our Conference and National titles!!! I love you all!
