Welcome to the Melee Maps section of my website. Most maps are fair but some are slightly unfair. You may find the older maps to be disinteresting however. Some maps cannot display correctly on the StarEdit.
Most maps are perfectly or almost perfectly balanced for the number of players for that map. The maps listed ascend from the order of two to eight players.
NOTE: Any map that was created BEFORE August 9, 2001 has been re-edited to update some out of date information. The map is still the same, but a few minor changes to the map info.
NOTE: All Melee Maps on this section were created by me. If you see another name on it, that was one of my previous names.

Players Map Zipfile About Map Map Size Map Terrain Final Release on File Size 2-2 Death Comes Quickly DCQuickly.zip A small map for two players! There are plenty of resources, but death will come quickly if you dont act fast! The middle will have minerals that will spell "DIE". 64x64 Platform 3/23/1999 26.3k 2-2 Fast Forest fastforest.zip A fast but small map. Limited resources. Multiple expansions in each base. Does not load properly with StarEdit. 64x64 Raised Jungle 7/16/1999 28.2k 2-2 Field of Doom FieldOfDoom.zip You control a large base with lots of minerals. Dont let your opponent get in! Each player's base is approximately 64 by 128. You will need lots of Command Centers/Nexus/Hatcheries to mine all of the minerals on your side. 128x128 Ash World/Dirt 3/16/2000 48.8k 2-2 Longway Bridge Longwaybridge.zip This map is very large in height. The only other way to get to your opponents base without dropping is through the long road in the middle. Along the way you should find many expansions as well. 64x256 Dirt/Asphalt 8/18/2001 55.2k 2-4 Chaotic Grasslands ChaoticGrasslands.zip A map with an even layout on both sides. There are many expansions but you'll only be able to build little defense in those areas. Limited resources will force you to expand to one of these areas, which can easily be accessed by any player. There are two ways to get into each base. 128x128 Grass 8/18/2001 58.8k 2-4 Diablo Shades DiabloShades.zip A map for four players. Each will start in a triangular shaped base. Five expansions in the middle. Limited resources. WARNING: Dont play this map in the dark! 192x192 Magma/Dirt 4/20/2001 70.0k 2-4 Jungle Fury Jungle_Fury.zip You can taste the fury of the jungle in this map. Rocky Ground in the middle prevents any defensive structures to be built there. At the entrance of each base is a large line of high ground that can be used for strategic purposes. 128x128 Jungle World 3/19/2001 56.5k 2-4 Midnight Battle MidnightBattle.zip A small map, each base has an even layout. Best designed for a 2vs2 battle of West vs East. Many expansions are on high ground, and you can use the high ground to your battle advantage as well. 64x64 Twilight 8/26/2001 28.7k 2-4 The Shining Ice TheShiningIce.zip A 4 player map that has an almost even layout. The only expansion you will find on the low ground is in the middle. Be sure to expand on high ground in one of the four corners. It can fit 4 Command Centers/Nexus/Hatcheries in each corner! 128x128 Ice 3/20/2001 52.4k 2-6 Frozen Plains FPlains.zip You will have to travel by air to your opponent's base! Its not really an island map however. Each player has a large base and two small expansions. 192x192 Snow 8/9/1999 70.6k 2-6 Golden Mineral Islands GMIslands.zip An island map for six players. Starting bases contain mineral patches of 2000 minerals and a gas vent of 7000 gas. Many island expansions. Develop a powerful air force and win! 128x128 Grass 8/11/2001 70.2k 2-8 4vs4 Shared Lava Map Sharedlavamap.zip You and three other players share a base. All of you must pitch in to protect your base from the opposing team! This is a shared map, so if you have played any before, you would know how to play. 128x128 Ash World 3/31/2001 52.7k 2-8 Bigger Frozen Bridges BigFBridges.zip Just like Frozen Bridges, except its more than twice as large! There is still limited building space and lots of expansions, but only one main difference-it is more than twice as large!. 256x256 Snow 7/2/2001 160k 2-8 Chaos Badlands CBadlands.zip The minerals in each starting base are spread out, which doesnt really do any good. The middle is a little bit messed up because it is more to the north than south. 128x128 Badlands 4/15/2001 51.9k 2-8 Chaos Badlands 2 CBadlands2.zip A larger version of the map Chaos Badlands. Everything else is still pretty much the same, except there is now much more building space than ever. The space in the middle however, has been fixed. 192x192 Badlands 4/15/2001 81.7k 2-8 Chaos in the Fields ChaosFields.zip Its related to Big Game Hunters but now there are many ways to get to a players base. 128x128 Jungle World/Dirt 4/25/2000 69.7k 2-8 Frozen Bridges FrozenBridges.zip There is very limited building space but there are lots of expansions in every stop! There are many different ways to get to a players base so be ready to protect from every direction! 128x64 Snow 7/1/2001 56.2k 2-8 Frozen Plains 2002 FPlains2k2.zip Two years later the walls of the frozen plains have been shattered, allowing players to move to an opponents base by ground. Unlike Frozen Plains, this map is for eight players and has four expansions in the middle. 192x192 Snow 4/26/2001 79.8k 2-8 Mineral Mountain MineralMountain.zip Mine your way up the mountains! Four players start on top, four on bottom. There are no opponents directly in front of you. There are several expansions in your base. 256x256 Snow 4/22/2001 125k 2-8 Small&Fast Money Map SmallFastMoneyMap.zip Ever wish you could have both a small map and a fast money map? Then look no further, because here it is! Building Space is very limited. After about two minutes, a row of Minerals will disappear. This is to prevent early rushes because matches that end before two minutes do not count on your record. 64x64 Desert 8/26/2001 26.4k 2-8 Spirit Knight's Fast Money Map SKFastMap.zip Lots of fast mineral patches and resources! The middle will spell "Spirit Knight". Large map. Does not load properly with StarEdit. Map Protected Version released on 8/20/2001. 192x192 Ice 8/4/2001 48.1k 2-8 Spirit Knight's Fast Money Map(S) SKSmallerMap.zip This is the smaller version to the normal SpiritKnight Fast Money Map. The middle will spell "Spirit Knight". Medium sized map. Does not load properly with StarEdit. Map Protected Version on 8/20/2001. 128x128 Ice 8/4/2001 34.8k 2-8 Spirit Knight's Fast Rush Map SKFastRush.zip Perfect for rushing! It's an 8 player map so thats more people in for a win! There are 6 Fast Mineral Patches and 2 Gas Mines at base. Does not load properly with StarEdit. Map Protected Version on 8/20/2001. 64x64 Ash World 8/6/2001 25.1k
