Wednesday was Children's Day in Korea. I wish I'd known that when I was growing up. Everyone got the day off work, and I spent the day at home with my new Internet connection. Then around 6, I got bored and went out to take sunset pictures.
This field is right down the street from my home.
In this picture, we're looking at the same field from the far side.
I got lost in a small rural neighbourhood just outside of Suwon. When I rode my scooter a little farther up this way, I got chased by an angry dog.
Not this dog.
Or this dog. It was bigger.
This is a vinyl house, pretty much like a greenhouse.
At this point the sun started to go down, and I found a good place to watch it.
As it went down, it started to get a lot closer to Earth, and even shot small fireballs at us.
Then the drugs wore off and the sun was back to normal. I guess.
This is some sort of water filtration thing next to a big lake I reached. I took this picture and hurried off to a higher place to get more photos of the sunset.
Up on this hill I had a good view as the sun slowly went down behind the mountains.
Here's a tunnel under the railway. It's just barely big enough for one car to squeeze through.
Just to let you know I still wear a helmet.
I think these are rice fields.
I'm not sure if this is another town, or just a distant part of Suwon off on its own.
Look, a tire vending machine!
