The Broadview Snow Busters have been a volunteer organization for 32 years. In 2000 we joined the provincial link of snowmobile trails. There are over 10,000 km's of groomed snowmobile trails in Saskatchewan. We look after 140km's of trails.
Things the Snow Busters have done in the community include:
Yearly youth rides which are sponsored by the SSA and Sask Lotteries
Hosting safety courses for kids ages 12 and up Youth Ride
Purchasing a rescue sled for the Broadview Fire Department
Purchasing a T.V./V.C.R. for the Childrens Ward of the Broadview Hospital
Hockey Sweaters for Minor Hockey
The Snow Busters raised $1500 for Chris Pearson after his accident
The Snow Busters also donate to these organizations on a yearly basis:
Prairie Women on Snowmobiles for breast cancer
We also donate to local organizations such as:
The Curling Club
Last Year The Snow Busters also raised $5740 for Kennen Dorgan and her family.
The Snow Busters and the dorgans would like to thank everyone for thier support.
Kennen is a 12 year old girl who was born with cerebral palsy, she needs another surgery to keep her hips from dislocating, which requires her and her parents (Dean and Heather) to travel to Toronto for six to seven weeks
Below are two links to pictures of Kennen at the Missing Link Lodge
Here is "Rotax Road",Located by the "chinook" warm-up shack (Thanx Brent and Tracy). This is along the way from Broadview out to our warm up shack "Missing Link Lodge". We named the shack this because our trail connects the northern province with the southern province, we are the "Missing Link"
