The lands were in ruin, the destruction that had followed from the raging wars was unbearable. People cried as their homes were invaded and torn down, smashed to nothing. The world would have been comming to an end if it were not for a select few. Those select few raged against the oposing evil and sought a path through the darkness. Their homes destroyed, their wives, even their children were murdered. They thought there was nothing for them, but they rebuilt, they carried on in the name of their loved ones. They remade their old kingdoms and crops but their memories, their horrors still lingered in their minds.
They had cleansed the lands from war and brought peace for those they had not known, but not for themselves. The horrors never perished until they themselves perished. Their lives were a small price to pay if they could bring peace among those still living, among those who still have people who care for them. They are the dead, the rotting, they...are the heroes.
But now, only a short 100 years later, people rage war once more. They have forgotten what the heroes of the dead gave their lives for. There are lands butchering other lands for unknown reasons. They threaten to ultimately destroy their own world, Graidia, with magics of ancient times, hidden but now unleashed, only for the useless material possesions they greedily want.
