The are many modes of transportation in England. There are many types of cars, but
the
most famous and well known transportation is the red double-decker bus. Every major
city in
England has a regional bus system. If you were to take a double-decker bus you would
have to
pay according to the distance you travel. There are the odd ferries and many airplanes in
and out
of England. The London Underground or the “Tube” is another form of transportation.
It is a
railroad with about 245 miles (392 km) of track around London. About 106 miles (170
km) of
the track is underground. The Tube was built to go between big stations located around
London.
Also, the Chunnel is an under-water rail link between England and France.
