How to read this playbook:
Green squares are spider coverage. Dark blue squares are leviathan coverage. Grey squares are Shark coverage.
Purple lines indicate a ship moving in to position to cover a zone after the snap. Dark blue lines indicate man to man coverage. Grey lines indicate blitzing the QB.
Naming System (IMPORTANT, it helps you still run plays even if you forget the play)
N/S: Used to denote North or South. N CB refers to the CB at the top, same with LB.
2-3, 3-1: First number = number of LBs, 2nd number = number of DBs.
Base: Means there are NO blitzers, only pass rush is from the DL and no one in man coverage.
Cover 1, Cover 2, Cover 3: Zone coverage, number denotes how many cornerbacks are playign in deep over the top coverage. Cover 3 used to prevent deep passing plays.
Man 1: Used to denote a player is in man coverage. In our playbook this always means the Non blitzing or non zone LB is in man to man on the running back.
SBlitz/NBlitz: Used to denote which player is blitzing. NLBBLitz would mean the north linebacker is blitzing.
FIRE: Denotes a play in which BOTH cornerbacks are blitzing.
STUN: Used to indicate 1LB and 1CB blitzing.. N refers to the cornerback - so with STUN NBLITZ the N CB blitzes and the S LB blitzes, STUN SBlitz means the S CB blitzes and the N LB blitzes.
GUT: Used to denote a blitz that is aimed at pressuring the middle, and forcing the QB outside, where there is zone coverage waiting for the INT.
