We offer a unique alternative for people who do not want to leave their dog in kennels or who feel uncomfortable imposing on friends or relatives when they go away.
We also offer a day care service for dog owners who go out to work each day. This service is aimed at dog lovers who might otherwise not be able to have a dog of their own. Instead of worrying about their dog being at home alone, they have peace of mind that he is getting all the companionship, love and care he needs during the day in the home of one of our carers.
We then arrange an introductory meeting between you and the carer we have selected. Once we have provided you with your carer's contact details, you should make arrangements as soon as possible to meet up. The meeting must take place with your dog at the carer's home. You should contact Spoiled Rotten Pets' Head Office immediately following this meeting (and in any event within three days of the meeting) to let us know how you got on. Provided both you and the carer are happy to proceed, the booking will be confirmed at this stage. If you are not entirely satisfied with the carer we have recommended, we will offer you an alternative carer or return your deposit.
Our day care service is popular with busy professionals who need someone
to look after their dog from Monday to Friday whilst they are at work. You
can deliver your dog to your carer on your way in to work and pick him up
again on your way home. Alternatively, your carer can collect and deliver
your dog to and from your home each day. The day care service is aimed at
clients who need help caring for their dog from Monday to Friday when they
are at the office.
Overnight Boarding: The fees for overnight boarding are £15 per day
for one small or medium sized dog or £23 per day for two small or
medium sized dogs. An additional £1 per day is charged for each large
dog. For example, if you have one small dog and one large dog, the daily
charge is £24 (ie £23 + £1) or, if you have two large
dogs, the daily charge is £25 (£23 + £2).
At the time of booking you pay Spoiled Rotten Pets an initial booking fee
of £5 (for one dog) or £8 (for two dogs) for each day the dog
is resident including the days of collection and departure ie a one week
booking from Sunday to Sunday counts as an eight day stay. The balance is
payable direct to the carer on presentation of the carer's invoice when
you collect your dog at the end of the board.
Day care: We offer this service as part of a regular Monday-to-Friday commitment.
We regret that we are not able to offer day care on an occasional basis
for the odd day now and then. However, we are always happy to discuss your
requirements with you and will do our best to help if we can. Prices vary
according to the service required in each case but start from £14
per day.

Overnight boarding: The minimum stay for overnight boarding is three days
(ie two nights). Kindly note that the duration of a stay is calculated by
the number of days (not nights) that the dog is resident, including the
days of arrival and departure.
Day care: Arrangements for day care are bespoke to a particular client in each case. The service is usually provided for five days at a time, from Monday to Friday. We regret that day care cannot be provided on an ad-hoc basis and, following completion of an initial trial period, a commitment of three months is required from new clients.

Overnight Boarding: A cancellation charge of £25 will be incurred to cover administration costs if cancellation occurs with over 28 clear days' notice; 50% of the deposit is payable if cancellation occurs with 14 to 28 clear days' notice; and the entire deposit and 50% of Carer's fee are payable if cancellation occurs with 2 to 13 clear days' notice. If cancellation occurs with under 2 clear days' notice, or Owner does not deliver the dog on the agreed date, Owner shall be liable to pay the deposit and Carer's fee in full.
Day Care: Cancellation of day care is subject to a notice period of one
month.

You will lose your deposit if you collect your dog early, but you pay your
carer only for the actual number of days your dog has been resident.

We are uncompromising in the qualities we insist upon in our carers and meticulous in our enquiries prior to inviting a carer to join our team. All carers operate under contract to Spoiled Rotten Pets. First and foremost, our carers love dogs and are experienced in dog care. Many carers admit they did not start fostering dogs for financial reasons, but for the sheer enjoyment of it. Although our carers do not have a dog of their own whilst working for us, they are experienced in looking after dogs and will devote themselves to providing one-to-one love and attention to your dog. All our carers are couples or single people who are at home during the day. Carers all live close to woods or parks where your dog will be walked at least once every day and all have secure gardens for your dog to play in. Our carers are animal loving, responsible people you can trust to care for your dog when you cannot be there to do it yourself.

If your dog were to become ill whilst you were away, he would be taken either
to your usual vet, if local to the carer, or to the nearest vet of our choice
and we would ask you to reimburse the fees on your return. We ask you to
provide a contact number where you, or a person authorised by you to make
decisions about your dog, can be contacted. If reasonable efforts to contact
you or the person you have nominated are unsuccessful, we reserve the right
to make decisions regarding your dog's health on your behalf provided always
it is in the best interests of your dog and on the advice of a qualified
veterinary surgeon.

Your dog will settle in most quickly if you provide his bowl, bed and favourite toys when you deliver him to your carer, together with sufficient food for the duration of his stay and a selection of treats. In addition, you should provide his lead and, ideally, also a long retractable lead. If any new circumstances have arisen since you sent in the booking form (eg your dog has started an antibiotics course), you should provide instructions in writing to your carer, with a copy to Spoiled Rotten Pets' Head Office.

Many of our carers are experienced in looking after dogs needing extra care, such as elderly dogs or dogs on medication. However, we do not accept puppies, dogs that are not fully housetrained, or dogs that have a history of aggression or other serious behavioural problems.

We only ever take in more than one dog if they ordinarily live together.
Otherwise, we will only take in one dog at a time.

Your dog should be up to date with his vaccinations and be wormed and de-flead
before commencement of the board.

All dogs are covered by our third party liability insurance whilst resident. However, we recommend that dogs are insured against illness or injury by their owners prior to boarding as you remain responsible for any vet fees incurred during your absence and for any damage caused by your dog to the carer's personal property or home.

Our carers all live close to parks or common lands where dogs are walked each day. In the interests of safety, our policy is for dogs to be exercised on the lead, unless a client specifically requests otherwise. However, if you instruct us to exercise your dog off the lead, you accept full responsibility in the event of loss or injury. As a precautionary measure, we supply a name tag with your carer's contact details for your dog to wear whilst he is resident.

Although we will make every effort to ensure that a carer you use regularly is available, you must always make your booking through Spoiled Rotten Pets' Head Office. It is best to book well in advance for Bank holidays and during the summer months or over Christmas and New Year. Clients are asked to note that carers are not authorised to accept bookings direct.
