SUPER MARIO WORLD
Super Mario World really was a success story before even leaving the shop. It was the fourth in a series of games that had already been a huge success on the NES system, and with the Super NES's extra power and better graphical capabilities, this game was always going to be good.
 However I, and many other people, believe it surpasses just good. Instead it is a massive platformer with a ton of secret areas to discover, and bonus games scattered all over the place. A full and proper world map, a whole range of different enemies, Mario having the ability to do more actions like flying and throwing. It's a game that simply lasts and lasts and is great fun to play. Personally I believe that it is easier than all 3 previous Mario games which were all devilishly difficult too early on. Instead, this game puts the hard levels in secret areas. An excellent game. Full review »
