Duel slalom
Motocross meets downhill and bsx is born..............a more tv friendly form of mountain biking has been discovered and this is it. I think we should all be pleased, the sport is much more exciting to the public, we get more coverage and for the purists it's great bloody fun!!! Anyway enjoy the page hope you like the jump bits below.
The fast racer jump
The golden rule is to stay as low as possible and kinda push the bike into the landing. When i'm trying to do this i just hammer the bike at the jump full speed and try to just roll over the top then lift the back and dip the nose into the landing, if you have the right balance of speed and lift you can do this really fast and smooth.........practice, practice, practice
The cool corner jump
If you have sprung 3 watch the section at EC's playground and you'll see carter and stevie pulling some wicked corner jumps, its an easy skill to learn but to get big requires some guts. To start off with you want to get some decent height and take off at a realistic angle cause if you can't turn your bike enough in the air it's not gonna be pretty. start with small stuff (transfers are good) then you can start doing the big stuff like 90 - 180 corner jumps, which is kicking............
Tabletop-ish
Ok got the first two down? Time to get stylee! Right bomb along at your favorite double and start to do the racer jump, no wtwist your bars and pull one side of the bars across your body. The bike doesn't have to be flat, it's too quick for that so go as far as you can and then start putting it straight again. land it the same as you would on a racer jump and then pedal, pedal, pedal!!
Opposite tabletop
This kinda looks like a corner jump in the air and basically is except you don't turn the bike. Hit the jump real fast and turn the bars just like a tabletop but this time pull the back end the opposite way to the way you turned the bars. Straighten up and god damn it pedal!
