DNA Surgery: Continuous trap with the effect (Select one monster type, all monsters on the field become the selected type while this card is face up on the field).

What this card does is change type of all monsters on the field to a certain type, wether it be dragon, beast, insect, etc. Dark Magician Girl, when it comes out in english, Buster Blader, and even Insect Barrier. One of my favorite combos is to play DNA Surgery and select insects in combo with insect barrier. Wala, permamant swords of revealing light. But alone, this card will neither help nor hinder you.

I rate this card 4/5

Today is Wednesday and we are reviewing DNA Surgery. It turns all face up monsters into a certain type that you want. This card can become Broken with Imperial Order. You won't be able to get rid of this card it alos makes the perfect staller for burner decks if you use insect barrier. It can also be used to power up Buster blader.

This card gets 4.5/ 5 in the right combos.

Personally, I don't like this card all that much. There are some heavily damaging combos you could pull off with it, but I wouldn't run one in my Deck at all. You could use this to make all monsters Insects, then play Insect Barrier so your opponent can't attack at all. If you run a defensive burner type Deck, then you could use DNA Surgery to make all monsters treated as Dragons, then bring out the Dragon Capture Jar so neither you or your opponent can attack, giving you a great opportunity to focus on your direct damage. Or, if you run a Dragon themed Deck, you could even use this to make all monsters treated as something other than Dragons to protect them from the good ol' Capture Jar.

Final Score: I give it a 3/5, because it can be useful when used with a few other cards, but by itself it's relatively useless.
