| Latest Craze... | ![]() They Who?That's exactly what I asked myself throughout the whole movie. The movie doesn't exactly show the creatures that are haunting the characters in this movie. 'They' are the terrors that live under the bed and in the darkness of you're room at night. The classic boogeyman, with a little bit of a twist. I personally thought the movie was stupid. I'd warn anyone who sees this movie not to fall asleep or you might miss the inconclusive ending. |
Martin Lawrence plays a cocky officer in training, who is scornful due to his repeated failure to pass the academy. Steve Zahn's character is a police officer who just lost his partner in a shootout. Him and Lawrence clash when he spots Lawrence trying to break into his own car cause he locked his keys inside. Using a little too much force and with a little help from a bumble bee Zahn is charged with police brutality and jailed. The tension between the two endures for pretty much the remainder of the movie, desipite the fact that they work together to catch the guys who shot Zahn's character's partner. Anyway this was a comical movie of course but it ended way to soon. Plus the comedy was scarce thoughout the duration of the film. Martin is good as a cop as we've seen in Bad Boys, where he played opposite Will Smith and Blue Streak, which was one of my all time favorite comedies. But National Security resembled Blue Streak a little too much in my opinion. Martin being the inexperienced yet talented detective, even though he was a theif in Blue Streak. The relationship the two have makes me think of Showtime where Eddie Murphy and Robert Deniro clash the whole time. On a whole I would say it'd be a good pick for movie night if you're up for a little sarcastic humor mixed with a taste of action. |
