Behind the guise of ignorance,
The farce you hold for me,
The pretense that you really don’t know
Just what is meant to be,
Underneath the masks you wear
Each time I come around,
What is it that you hold inside,
So deep and so profound?
Below the case of skin and deep,
Deep down inside your soul,
What is wrapped So carefully,
So that it can’t be told?
Cast away the mask, the farce,
And throw away the guise,
Leave the pretense in the past
And let me see inside.
For what you hold is of no shame,
But is secret can’t be free.
So tell the world just what it is:
It is your love for me.
