Hello and thanks for dropping by. We welcome everyone who comes here to see us. We are a small in home kennel. None of our kids are kenneled. They play throughout the house all day. The pups are raised in a nursery. They are kept nice and warm, and in a sterile environment. Later they are socialized and brought out to meet the rest of the family. Introduced to all types of noise, and activity. They are also bathed from 3 weeks on. This is so they will be very accustomed to grooming when they leave home. They are very well adjusted and usually ready to go home at 8 weeks. Our biggest concern is to raise very healthy, happy, socialized, and well balanced pups/dogs. Our dogs come first in our lives. We are very careful, to where our pups go. We want them in good homes for life. We keep in touch with owners, we get pictures all the time and updates. All our pups are sold on Non-breeding contracts, unless otherwise agreed upon, before sale. We Can Deliver.

Here At SOOKE'S KENNEL we offer Free PetPlan Insurance for all our Puppy Buyers.

Want To Be A Breeder

PETS ARE FOR LIFE

I do not plan to offend anyone here but I would really like you all to see this wonderful commercial. These children have done such a good job to get the dogs/cats voices out there. The SPCA have these running in Nova Scotia, but have been band in the rest of CANADA. I believe we all have to do our part to get their voices heard. They are not voiceless dogs and cats, and with our help they will be heard.
Thanks Pauline.

COMMERICAL MADE BY CHILDREN FOR THESE WONDERFUL ANIMALS
PETS ARE FOR LIFE

I have had numerous calls from people, who have bought pups, and been cheated. The biggest problem is that these dogs are not registered. I hear over and over again, "I could get papers for 150.00 or 200.00, but the breeder told me the papers were not important and I didn't need them, therefore we didn't pay the extra to get them."
I can see the public are not very well informed and that is why I'm moving this to my index page. I want all new people looking for puppies to know.

1) It is illegal for a breeder to charge you for papers for your pup/dog. If you run into this problem, Please call the Canadian Kennel Club and report this person. 1-416-675-5511
2) Any Breeder telling you that this pup/dog can be registered anytime in life, is a complete lie. Your new puppy has to be tattooed or microchiped before it ever leaves the breeders home, in order to ever be registered.
3) Just because a breeder tells you this dog is purebred, don't believe it. If this pup/dog doesn't come with registered papers. You do not have a purebred dog of any type. Don't be fooled. No Breeder with registered parents would not register their off spring.
4)A breeders responsibility is to, Register the litter of the two registered purebred parents with the Canadian Kennel Club.
The fee for this is around $21.50
Litter registration for every pup in this litter go to the breeder to be filled out, when the pups are sold.
Tattoo or microchip all pups in a litter.
All litter registrations now have the new owners name and address attached, along with 3 choices of names for this puppy. These papers get sent to the Canadian Kennel Club as well, so all pups can be registered.
When purchasing a pup from any breeder, ask to see the litter registrations for the pup you are buying.
The breeder should have these on hand. Breeders fill them out and send them in the day after whelping. This allows ample time for the papers to get back to the breeder for tattooing.
Each pup in this litter is given identification to be used throughout it's life. Papers are sent back to the breeder and the breeder is to forward them to the new owners.
Each registered dog costs the breeder $31.90.
If the breeder decides to micro chip their pups. They are responsible to get these chips from the Canadian Kennel Club. No Vet has these chips in his office for registration purposes. A Vet may microchip these pups, but with the breeders microchips that they supply for the Canadian Kennel Club.
I do hope this clears up a lot of the questions coming to me daily. All pure bred dogs/pups must be registered before leaving their breeders homes. This can not be done at a later date. Remember also it is illegal to ask any new owner/buyer to pay for this.

CKC guidlines state that a Toy poodle can not be more than 10" tall . Any poodle 10" tall or less is considered to be a TOY, therefore is registered as a Toy. The classification by weight below is how we (breeders) determine what to call a specific size of TOY and how to price them. They may go over the 10 lbs. in weight,in old age, but may not go over the 10" in height. Miniature poodles are from over 10" in height to 15 " in heigh (weights vary), Standards poodles are over 15" in height (weights vary).
