In 1993, three West Memphis Arkansas teenagers were accused and convicted of the murder of three younger boys. The authorities imagined these killings to be cult related however there was no evidence of such activities. In fact, the West Memphis Police Department allowed potential evidence at the murder site to be destroyed, and lost crucial blood samples. There was no physical evidence and no witness, only coerced statements and the incomplete testimony of children. The subjects of two critically acclaimed documentary films, Paradise Lost and Revelations: Paradise Lost II, The West Memphis 3 are Damien Echols, Jason Baldwin and Jessie Misskelly and are currently in prison for the Robin Hood Hills murders. Just Echols resides on Death Row.
