James
James is an attractive and always well dressed man
in his mid-twenties. James is very much a
hate-to-love-him character. He constantly behaves
insensitively, but somehow remains endearing. He has
been dating Bella "on and off since high school" and
would call her his "soulmate" if James ever used words
like that.
Bella
Bella is a conventionally pretty girl in her early
twenties, a little naive and very trusting. Every so
often she timidly experiments with lifestyle but she's
ultimately old-fashioned and always counts on returning
to the rock of her relationship with James. She is an
up and coming fashion designer with an excellent work
ethic.
Bellah
Bellah came into the lives of James, Bella and Mitch
suddenly and shockingly. She has a very dominant
personality, commands attention, and knows how to use
her body to get what she wants. She uses sex as a
weapon, a tool, and a comfort. Bella is a
singer-songwriter. She lived in Australia for some
time and she still has a hint of an accent.
Mitch
An energetic guy in his mid-twenties, with an
enthusiastic lust for life and an indifferent attitude
to consequences. Mitch went to college with James and
now works with him. They've been best friends for
"most of their adult lives". Mitch met Bellah at his
art class and the two quickly became involved in an
exciting physical relationship.
Ben
Ben is one of Bellah's few close friends. He plays
guitar with her and is the only permanent member of her
band. He also works with Lily at her shop. Lily is
Ben's life partner and one true love.
Lily
Lily works as an astrologer/psychic and owns a shop
where she does readings. She is also deaf and
communicates through sign language. She has a sweet,
ethereal presence.
Mr. Chambers
Mr. Chambers is James and Mitch's boss. He is loud
and boisterous and especially enjoys the attention of
his employees' lady friends.
