Mad Caddies, Voodoo Glow Skulls, & Fugazi

The Mad Caddies

My favorite ska band. Started in Cali, this band consists of 7 members: Chuck Robertson-vocals, Todd Rosenberg-drums, Mark Iversen-bass, Carter Benson-guitar, Sascha Lazor-guitar/banjo, Keith Douglas-trumpet, and Ed Hernandez-trombone. This band combines ska-core, swing and dixieland all together to make one catchy-as-hell sound.

The Voodoo Glow Skulls

To start off- this band is crazy. The Voodoo Glows Skulls are like almost hardcore with brass and the ska upstroke. Frank's voice is like scary sometimes. Eddie (guitar) tried to tape a live crow to his guitar...also, for those of you who don't know what happened to Dave Mello, drummer for Operation Ivy...he is backing clarinet for the Skulls. (Above L-R: Frank-vocals, George-bass)

Fugazi

Fugazi was formed in 1987 in Washington, D.C. primarily by the former vocalist to the band Minor Threat, Ian MacKaye, which disbanded in '83. Fugazi takes its name from military slang meaning "we're f*cked." As MacKaye blasts his philosophies over the mic and thru his guitar, he's joined with Guy Piccioto, a man seemingly just like Ian. This band is great, and is still dedicated to this day.
