Kevin McCray

Over the years I've meet many roller men. I met Kevin back in 94 or 95. In the last few years I've seen Kevin roll some of best birds around.   He has won first place in kit competition in ICRC and the OLRC in 96, 97, 98,and 99.

Kevin has always tried to do things for the good of our club and the betterment of the roll and he's one heck of a nice guy. When you look at his picture you can see what he's trying to do for our sport. Now lets look at his cage and some birds.

I was in the sixth grade when I was first struck by birds fever. I was looking over a fence at a cage of racing homers when a man yelled and I ran he stop me and called me back. After talking to me he gave me my first bird and I was hooked. I flew roller for many years but got serious about roller competition about six years ago. When Terry asked me to be on his Cage To Cage web page I agreed. I knew questions like, what family of birds are you flying? What and how much do you feed your birds? Do you sale birds? Well if I told you all about me and my training then you would be the man. So I will tell you this. I breed and train for serious kit competition. I fly for the love of the birds. When I'm in competition I try to put up the best kit every time. In kit competition you need:

  • Good birds

  • Good training

  • Good  timing

  • Good weather

  • Good luck

Now if you can get all five to line up I think you will have a good fly day.
