A true story...

This happened a number of years ago when there was still an IHL as the Fort Wayne Komets were playing the K-Wings at Kalamazoo.

Mel Angelstad was the resident tough guy for Kalamazoo. He is a big IHL established tough guy and tries to limit his fighting to other tough guys.

Komet Eric Boguniecki was quite a bit smaller than Angelstad.

Boguniecki keeps yapping at Angelstad, jabbing him with his stick, calling him an ugly goon, and so on.....(you get the picture.)

Early in the 3rd, Boguniecki continues with his death wish and Angelstad, aware of the mis-match, has shown great restraint. Boguniecki asks Angelstad if he wants "a piece of him". Instead of pummeling him, Angelstad grabbed him, pulled him close, and KISSED HIM FULL ON THE LIPS!!!!!!!

The crowd, teams, press, coaches, and officials were all STUNNED!!

Both players were penalized two minutes for unsportsmanlike conduct, which I just didn't get. I though Angelstad had been quite sporting about the whole thing!

Two women were at a bar. One looked at the other and said, "You know, 80 percent of all men think the best way to end an argument is to make love."

"Well," said the other woman," that will certainly revolutionize the game of hockey!"
