The Story of the Winged Wolves
The winged wolves are a beautifull bread of wolf that lives high in
the mountains. Each kind has the power of an element; earth, forest,
sunrise (only female), stone (only male), water, fire, air, and the hard
to find ice. They use to all live in one large system of caves high on
top of what is now called ice mountain. It use to be the perfect place to
live, untill it started to freeze over. It wasn't the ice wolve's fault,
and nobody thought it was. All the wolves hid in the back of the caves
except for the older ice and fire wolves, who were able to use there
powers to try and stop the freeze. Unfortunatley, however, they couldn't
stop it. All of them got incased in blocks of ice and froze to death.
They were discovered by Sweet Ivy and me (Sedge Whisper) and we decided to
try and rescue them. With the new red flarda, Fire Alarm, we 'defrosted'
the wolves we found outside, but only one was still alive, a young and thin
lookeing female ice with light colored scragley fur. I decided to keep
her as my own, and named her Layra. As we got further and further back
into the cave we found more and more wolves that were still alive. Most
were sick or injured in some way, but we have been able to same moste of
them and now we are ready to move them into new homes. We also found two
very special wolves. One was an older forest female, one of the few who
was in good health. Her name was Teres. She had been the packs
equivilent of a nurse and wanted to stay and help out at the valley. We
also found Kal, the male that Layra loved. They had been planning to become mates when the freeze hit and interupted there plans. He had been frozen while
trying to protect some younge pups, and had to be rehabilitated. He and
Layra are now the mated pair of the wolve's new home, and Teres decided stay
with the younger pair, to help them out in there new home.
