was established in 1989 and is still leading the way in HIKING and CYCLING ADVENTURE SAFARIS in Kenya. Bike TrekS was started by Nigel Arensen who knows East Africa like the back of his hand. Nigel spent his youth in exciting activities such as walking with the Maasai across what is now the Maasai Mara or riding his pushbike from Nairobi to Mombasa or riding horses on the Loita Plains and all his working life has been within the tourism field. He left a big Safari outfit to start Bike TrekS to offer the visitor something unique, something akin to what he enjoyed as a youngster in this great country. The "standard" safari consists of one gamedrive after another - don't get me wrong these are spectacular. We offer gamedrives too! In addition we give you the chance to meet with the locals, to get out of the car and smell the flowers, to follow the footprints of wild animals in the company of our Maasai guides, to ride a mountain bike off into the sunset, to listen to African tales around the campfire and be lulled off to sleep by the noises of the African night. Our trained guides can point out the BIG FIVE but will be just as keen to show you the LITTLE FIVE. We love Africa and it shows.
