SPECIES SPECIFIC INFO
This is the hardiest of the gouramis. It is a community fish but the males can be aggresive towards each other. It is best to keep one male with a couple of females.
In our tank we bought two Two Spot gouramis which as it turned out were both males. The one male (which we unwittingly named Brenda) became very aggresive towards the other gourami (called Brian). Brian was closely guraded and fenced by Brenda into one corner of the tank. To solve the problem we decided to introduce two Indian Gouramis which made Brenda calm down and stop being a bullying. People say that fish don't have attitude, I'm sorry to disagree with these people but Brenda and Brian certainly are two very characteristic fish.
