The concept for the comic started on the 24th of August, when I just got out of auditions, and decided to whittle away at my adrenaline by making a drawing of me - the first one on the first page. Another band member said that it was insane that I had drawn it that fast, and to 'keep drawing.' (Later, however, I realized he was telling me to 'keep drawing' to stop talking to him. Some friend.)
The comic takes place on Northern Michigan Universities campus, and start with 2007 Band Week, which was the week before class started. Obviously,there are a great number of differences. For the most part, they are only enacted to make the story more interesting. To be blunt, NMU can get kind of dull at times. And not too many people are even aware we have a marching band. In this universe, however, that will be quite different.
The storys will take place in 'arcs', like chapters. Each arc will be individual, such as an arc a day, to provide a continuous timeline. Maybe someday I'll make an actual timelime.
Wouldn't that be a laugh.
