Peter Eckrote, an old and respected resident of Beaver township, who died on Thursday of last week was buried at Harrier’s Cemetery on Saturday. He leaves a wife and several adult children and was aged about 70 years.

In New Columbia, Montour county, on the 12th inst., Mr. Nathaniel T. Edgar, aged 69 years.
The deceased was the father of Mr. J.K. Edgar of this place. He was a solider in the last war and did service for his country at the battle of Lundy’s Lane in Capt. Faulk’s Company of the 22nd Regiment of Infantry under Gen Brady’s division of Gen. Scott’s Army. He has since lived the life of the upright and good citizen, and has been gathered to his grave in the fullness of years, when he had almost reached his three-score and ten.

In Philadelphia, on Sunday morning last, Mrs. Mary S. Else, consort of Thomas C. Else, aged 24 years, 10 months and 18 days.
The deceased, with her husband, removed from this place to Philadelphia about three months ago, where they were living at the time of her death. She was taken sick, suddenly, on the Sabbath before her decease, while attending Church, and lingered along on week until her sufferings were relieved by the hand of death. Her remains have been taken, for interment, of Newbruy, Lycoming county, the home of her young—The funeral, we are informed, takes place today. She was a find intelligent woman, and a Christian; and possessed a heart of many good qualities. “Peace be to her ashes.”
