Zion Lutheran Church of Mitchell, SD.


Zion Lutheran Church is made up of several Boards & Committees that are assembled to handle, according to God's Grace and Will, the tasks and decisions of the membership. Members of our congregation are elected or appointed to serve in these leadership capacities. 	Church Council The Church Council of Zion, or Board of Directors, have the duty to consider, discuss, and decide all matters pertaining to the general welfare of the Congregation.
Board of Elders The Board of Elders, as assistants to the Pastor, shall concern themselves with the spiritual life of the Congregation.
Board of Parish Education The Board of Ed is charged with the task of developing & maintaining the Christian education programming for Zion. This includes Sunday School, Confimation, & VBS.	Board of Youth Ministry The Board of Youth Ministry is charged with maintaining and developing the church's youth programs. This includes the Kids for Christ & LYF (High School) groups.
	Board of Trustees The Trustees, are to hold in trust all real and personal property for the Congregation.
Other Boards & Committees at Zion There are many other Boards & Committees here at Zion. Other groups include a Finance Committee, Strategic Planning Committee, Committee on Missions & Evangelism, Board of Stewardship, and more.
