Elated PageKits
This is the README file for the Elated PageKit: "Blur"

Introduction
The idea behind the Elated PageKits is that you can either
use the ideas here as is, and develop them from our startpoints,
or you can take the bits that you need and customise them for your own use. We hope you'll also find
the PageKits educational. Obviously, to make the best use
of them you'll need to know some basic HTML.
You should be able to edit the PageKits in a wide range of web editors like Dreamweaver and FrontPage, though all will behave in different ways. An image editor will also be useful (e.g. Adobe Photoshop)
About This PageKit
This PageKit has a certain stylish moodiness to it. The London
cityscape was made by scribbling onto a photo (if you subscribe to The ELATED Extra then you may recognise this image from our Webmaster's Tip!).
One of the really nice things about this 'kit is the CSS-driven drop-down menu. It still needs a bit of JavaScript to make it work in IE6, but apart from that, it's done entirely in CSS. Way cool! Thanks to the guys at A List Apart for the Suckerfish Dropdowns...
In fact the whole 'kit is built with CSS positioning rather than a table-based layout, making for nice clean HTML. :)
The 'Kit was made on an iMac G5 running Photoshop CS2 and skEdit.
Hints & Tips
The font size and face is controlled by a stylesheet linked
to from the pages (style.css). If you want to change all this open up style.css in a text editor (eg Notepad)
and edit the code to be whatever you want for colours, links
etc, being careful to preserve the syntax. Note that there's
different sizes of links depending on whether they're menus
or normal body text links.
