for Making Dolls and Gowns
Patterns:
Please do NOT put hair or faces on the dolls!! The children will do this to personalize them!
Step-by-step Directions:
Doll:
1. Print out pattern off of the above link or here.
2. Cut out pattern and connect the lines to make one continuous doll (finished doll about 16").
3. Pin pattern to muslin/tan/white fabric (as long as it looks like healthy skin) and cut 2.
4. Match up 2 doll bodies and sew 1/4" seams along entire body with regular sewing machine, leaving the hole indicated on the pattern open to turn and stuff with.
5. After it is all sewn, clip curves to allow the fabric to turn along curves.
6. Turn the doll. Make sure that the entire doll is properly sewn and there are no holes.
7. Stuff the entire doll until it is firm, but not so there is too much strain on the seams.
8. Hand sew the hole that was used to turn and stuff the dolls closed.

The doll is now complete and ready for the gown!
