S.O.U.N.D.S. is a non-profit organization that initiates the good working relationships within the community for the purpsoe of self improvement in the native family structure. To encourge status, Non-status, Metis, and Inuit to participate in the wholistic healing of cultures in their personal and community affairs. To encourge the community of Penticton and local catchment to participate in joint ventures and resolve their cross cultural attitudes and intergrating life styles. To encourage tha public to take an informed interest in helping to promote these objevtives and general well being of our First Nations culture. Urban Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people and to sensitize the community service agencies to their social and cultural values. To communicate and exchange information with other native organizations in the district S.O.U.N.D.S. has already left a legacy within the Penticton Community from past and present accomplishments and takes pride in the services it currently provides. S.O.U.N.D.S. understands there are services available for teens and children, although they do an excellent job when accessed, the problem stems from the willingness to access its services. We also Understand that our kids need to be interested, drawn or attracted to something in order for them to want to access the much needed help they deserve.
