Wesley Hayden

Davidís father was a jealous, but good-natured sheriff. Wes arrested weekly drunks, solved disputes about fence lines or stray cattle, calmed domestic disturbances, and looked after rowdy teenagers. Wes wore a shirt and tie with brogans and a fedora. He had a gun, which he never carried on or off duty. Wesís gun was a modest .32 automatic, Italian-made, and no bigger than his palm. Wes even bought a ticket for a drunkard to go home to his family. Wes did not serve in the war due to his problems with his leg being V-ed in. His brother was a war hero though. Wes was jealous of his brother and did not acknowledge Frank when he returned from war.
