Hi! I'm proud to be the Libertarian candidate for South Dakota Secretary of State. Libertarians believe in: Less taxes, more freedom, more prosperity!

Here is the vision that I, as a Libertarian, have for the Secretary of State's office, and why I would greatly appreciate your vote on November 5!

Democracy and business are the twin engines that keep America free and prosperous.

If you elect me as Secretary of State, here's what I would like to do to update the office:

Elections

1. Work with the legislature to gain passage of a new state election law that allows people to register to vote and vote on Election day, with a South Dakota driver's license.

2. Expand election hours from 7 am to 7 pm for all elections. I would encourage the legislature to do this.

3. Expand voter registration locations to all State offices, statewide.

Business

1. Help implement "Digital Signature" filings so that documents can be filed electronically. I would encourage the Legislature to adopt this.

2. Make "Expedited Filings" of Corporations an online feature to speed up the process.

3. Corporate, LLC, Partnership, Trademark and other filings should be searchable online on the Internet.

4. Offer reduced fees for those who file online to create a South Dakota Limited Liability Company (LLC), just like Wisconsin does right now!

5. Make it so that anyone could search for a Notary Public online.

Address Privacy

1. Have the Legislature pass a law (similar to Vermont) that ensures the address privacy of those who are victims of domestic violence when they register to vote. People who register to vote under this proposed new law would be required to update their registration with the Secretary of State every eight years.

The Libertarian Party of South Dakota is grassroots and has a great Vision for South Dakota:
