This Ain't No Picnic...

Beck (acoustic!)
Built To Spill
Modest Mouse
Creeper Lagoon
Grandaddy
Pedro The Lion
Blue Man Group

Beck was completely amazing - it was such an incredible opportunity to get to see him totally acoustic! He did all songs off of Mutations (my personal favorite album of his) and One Foot In the Grave, and then he came out for an encore of Devil's Haircut - crazy Beck dancing and all!!! This was one of my greatest concert experiences ever i must say, and i took a ton of pictures too - the first time i realized that the greatest job ever would be a photographer for spin of rollingstone. About the rest of this show... at the time i went only to see Beck, and had never heard of any of the other bands. The whole day was incredibly hot and i spent the whole time pretty much looking for shade and waiting for beck, although i did listen a bit to the other bands. I remember liking creeper lagoon - i bought their cd "i become small and go" after the show - and modest mouse and grandaddy seemed pretty cool too. Above i listed all the bands that played who i have since heard of and realized they are pretty awesome bands, and i wish i paid more attention at the show. I especially love pedro the lion and creeper lagoon now, and would definitely pay money to see them now. Oh well, i went for beck and i saw beck, and that was all that mattered at the time.
