Q: Do I have to be in shape to join?
A: NO! Our job is to train you and get you in shape. When you start training, work at the level you are comfortable with and ask the trainers if you have a question.
Q: Can women join the program?
A: ABSOLUTELY! The program is open to both women and men. In fact, about half of our membership is composed of women.
Q: Do I need previous martial arts training?
A: About 75% of the students have NEVER trained martial arts before they come to us. Of course, if you've trained before you are also certainly welcome to come down and try a free to learn more about us and our programs.
Q: Do I have to do contact and free sparring?
A: NO. We offer Kickboxing 101 which is a program that uses focuss mitts, Thai pads, kicking shields and the heavy bag to teach the basic techniques and stresses fitness conditioning, including cardio and "boot camp" classes. Many people benefit without ever taking the contact classes.
Q: What equipment do I need to start?
A: You'll need boxing gloves and hand wraps which you can purchase here at the gym in the pro shop.
Q: Can I bring a friend?
A: ABSOLUTELY! Friends that work out together come more often and see results more quickly!
