RANCH HANDS

Since the 1960's we have raised Border Collies and used them in our operation on both cattle and sheep.  

These dogs are what we consider the mainstay of our program or they are better known as to us as our RANCH HANDS.

LUKE

Luke was a 13 year old male that had been our right hand man until about the last 2 years.  If we needed a job done or had the impossible task we went and got Luke and we got it done.  He was a super-tough all around cattle and sheep dog that never lacked courage.  Luke had plenty of brains and sired pups wanting to work at 3 and 4 months!  Winning his fair share of trials (sheep & cattle) Luke was in retirement at the ranch until November of 2005 when we had to put him down.  He is greatly missed but we look forward to his continued genetics in our program. 

NAP

Nap is a 9 year old male that was obtained from Saskatchewan.  He is a full brother to Peter Gonnet's Moss.  Nap is now our do everything dog and has a lot of desire and determination.  Nap is great with sheep, strong enough for cattle and he has a great attitude and disposition.  You never have to ask for anything the second time with him.  Nap has qualified for four National Cattledog Finals, finishing 6th in 2003.  

HOOKER

Hooker is a 9 year old female that has been an excellent all-around female for us.  She has qualified for the National Cattledog Finals the last five years.  Finishing 10th in 2003, Reserve Champion in 2004, 5th  in the 2005 Finals. In 2003 Hooker was named the Reserve Champion All-Around Stockdog, which is the highest placing dog qualified for the Sheep & Cattledog Finals.

MOUSE

Mouse is a 7 year old female owned by Heidi & Deb.  She is sired by Nap and out of a Luke female.  Mouse is proving to be a great brood bitch.  She is very people friendly and easy going.  Her bloodlines show a desire to work at a very early age. Mouses' offspring show great brains and instinct at a very early age.   

Mouse is a litter mate to Steve McCalls "Pete" that was the 2005 Nursery Cattledog Champion.

LIZ

7-9-2004

Liz is a female that was raised here.  She is sired by Luke and her mother is out of Deb & Heidi's Mouse female.  Liz is showing great potential on both cattle & sheep.  Liz started working around 3 months of age and hasn't stopped since.  So stay tuned for further updates.

REX

12-10-2003

Rex is a 4 year old male. He is sired by Broadie and his mother is Roany. Rex  is showing great potential for a sire.  

LUKE, JR.

1-1-2004

Luke, Jr. is a 4 yr. old male.  He is sired by Luke and his mother is Annie.  Luke, Jr. is siring tough pups with a lot of brains.  He is currently working on a big cattle ranch in western South Dakota.
