Motorcycle Helmets
Topic: To wear or not to wear
So we read in the paper about a group of young adult crotch-rocket riders who get their thrills by speeding down our highways in the very early hours of morning...2am-ish
We find out that a young female passenger is killed on one of these thrill rides. Duh, when was that going to happen....
Now, our politicians get on the band-wagon and decide it's time to look into a mandatory helmet law. I say, let it be a choice. Let the nuts who find thrills in high speed cruises down the highway decide whether or not they want to wear helmets as well. Hey it's their chice as to whether they want to take the risk or not. Why do I have to be told I need a helmet when I ride? I don't share the thrill of high speed riding. I ride in the country so I can view the beauty and the scenery. I don't want to wear a helmet which inhibits my view.
I say, if you want to be an idiot; it's your choice. I want to make the decision to wear a helmet or not. Plain and simple.

Where do we go wrong in the course of life?

It is a very low time right now in my journey through the stages of life. I have lost some leaves on my tree. Not by choice, but by design. The map we are given in the beginning is laid out for us to course our routes through life. We travel, we rest, we make decisions for what path to follow. We flourish or we don't. There is no blaming anyone for the wrong path's we chose. Who would we blame anyway? Ourselves..... My leaves have fallen and blown away for now. They may find their way back some day. It is only I that can make the decision to repair the empty branches on my tree. This is so very hard....
