TORONTO, Dec. 10 /CNW/ - World Wrestling Federation Entertainment Canada is pleased to officially announce the addition of another Canadian to the WWFE Superstar talent roster. International fitness model, Trish Stratus, recently inked a multi-year contract to appear regularly on WWFE programming, and live events.
Carl De Marco, President of World Wrestling Federation Entertainment Canada, was first introduced to Trish Stratus on a taping of Michael Landsberg's "Off the Record" on TSN. This was to be the first of many meetings between the two in Trish's pursuit of becoming a WWFE Superstar. Carl De Marco then opened the lines of communication between Trish and WWFE Talent Relations. Trish is among good company when it comes to talent discovered in Canada. Mr. De Marco is also responsible for opening the doors for WWFE Superstars Edge, Christian, and Test.
Ms. Stratus met with Jim Ross, Senior Vice President of Talent Relations and Television Commentator, early in November, and the deal was finalized by the end of the month. "Trish is very bright and has an awesome look and should contribute right away," comments Jim Ross, SVP Talent Relations, "I truly believe Trish has the potential to be a major talent in the WWF in the near future."
"This is a dream of a lifetime," states Trish, "as a true fan for as long as I can remember, it still hasn't sunk in that I am now a part of the WWF."
Trish is no stranger to television having made appearances on TSN's "Off the Record," Inside Edition, and The Jenny Jones Show. She has also graced the covers of Musclemag International, Optimum Health and Fitness, and Natural Muscle Magazine. Trish has also been featured in an international calendar, look for her in the Dream Team Calendar 2000.
