Warriors versus Paraclete Spirits (Lancaster)

Playing for the first time since 2004, the Spirits defeated the Warriors 35-7 in 2016, and 63-7, in 2017. Tehachapi still leads the overall series by a 17-8 count in games played dating back to 1965.

These two schools played each other every year from 1965 until 1969 and from 1979 until 1991 as part of the old Desert-Inyo League. The series resumed for a three-year period from 1998 until 2000 as non-league contests. After a three-year break, the Warriors and Spirits resumed their football playing relationship in 2004. The Warriors won both the 2004 contest, 41-21, and the 2005 game, 40-7. These two schools have had some classic football games over the years.

Paraclete High School, a private Catholic school, opened in the fall of 1963 with 110 students. Since then, the high school has grown to over 700 students. Paraclete High School is located on the west end of the Antelope Valley, 60 miles north of Los Angeles.
