Head Coach Henry Kossow
Coach Henry Kossow coached two seasons at Tehachapi High School from 1943 through 1944. World War II was still raging
in Europe meaning many of the older boys from the high school had joined the armed forces.
During this era of football, Tehachapi High School played both 11 man and 6 man football games --- depending on the opponent ---
due to a shortage of players. Coach Kossow had to develop strategies and plays for both types of games.
Kossow led the Warriors to an 11-5-1 record in his two years. Mr. Kossow was a graduate of Chico State University.
