The two have feelings long before they are
aware of it. Yet, others can see it so obviously.
Their faces as they blush and shine at each
word the other has spoken. Unaware of what is
taking place. Their nonstop talking as they
eagerly learn about each other. The attraction
that continually pulls them together. So, as
the story unfolds their friendship and love begins.

I watch from the sidelines and smile as their love
blossoms. They talk daily and the laughter fills
the air that is so unique to those in love.
The blush that shines on their faces as it rises
when they are in the room together. Thinking that
no one notices as they try to hide these new found
feelings.

She and her son watch him as he circles on the
race track as she prays he remains safe and comes
back into her arms. She stands up in panic as he
is struck by another car. He goes spinning across the
track Praying that no harm has come to him this time.
Not wanting to watch but knowing she can't stay away.
The young boy cheers as he watches in anticipation for
this man that he has grown to love. So young, and so
unaware of the danger he is in while racing to the finish line.

They both watch with pride as the checkered flag
is waved and he crosses the finish line first.
The pride they have for him glowing for all to see.
His blue race car that they watch every week with
anticipation and pride as it rolls back to the pit.

He comes to their side and sweeps her up in his arms
and holds her close as their lips meet so eager
and passionately. He touches his hand to her face
as he caresses it so gently. The love he has for her
glowing in his eyes. He then reaches down to the young
boy and sweeps him up in the air as he hugs him and
the young boy reaches to kiss him. The look of surprise
on the man's face from shock. Then pride takes over
as he realizes how much the young boy has grown to love him.

The stars twinkle brightly in the sky as the moon
reflects off their faces as they head home for
the night. His arm so protectively around her
shoulders as he carries the young boy in his arms.
All smiling and content to be united as a family.

A picture that makes the tears well up in my eyes
as I watch my daughter and her new family that she
has so longed for walk off into the distance. I then smile
as I know another grandchild is in the not so distant future.
